The Performance Appraisal Meeting Inventory (PAMI) consists of 36 statements divided into six dimensions that represent the key steps comprising the performance appraisal meeting process: Building Interpersonal Trust, Opening the Discussion, Pinpointing and Discussing Successes and Shortcomings, Planning for Future Performance, Defusing Defensiveness and Assessing Overall Performance. Based on how they answer the statements, managers and supervisors gain valuable insight into their greatest strengths and most pressing improvement needs in conducting appraisal discussions with their staff.

Available in three versions:
  • Self — completed by a manager or supervisor
  • Other — completed by 3-8 direct reports to provide feedback to the manager or supervisor
  • Follow-Up — completed by a manager or supervisor to measure improvement and identify areas requiring further development
Multiple uses:
  • Performance appraisal training
